Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of EZ-Codes (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to them.

What the Service does

The Service provides VIN-based lookups of key fob part numbers and, for verified professionals, vehicle key codes. Results are compiled from third-party vehicle-data sources.

Accounts

• You sign in with a Google account and must provide accurate profile information.
• One account per person or business; accounts may not be shared or resold.
• Free lookups are subject to daily limits, which we may adjust.

Professional use of key codes

• Key codes are available only to accounts we have verified as operating a locksmith or vehicle-repair business. We may request supporting materials, and may refuse or revoke verification at our discretion.
• By requesting a key code you represent that you are lawfully authorized to obtain it for that specific vehicle — for example, on behalf of the vehicle’s owner or an authorized operator.
• You are responsible for how key codes you obtain are used. Misuse — including obtaining codes for vehicles you have no authorization for — is grounds for immediate termination and may be reported to authorities.

Wallet and payments

• Purchases are paid from a prepaid balance funded through Stripe. Prices are shown before every purchase and may change over time.
• Balances are non-transferable and, except where required by law, non-withdrawable. If a purchased code or lookup fails to deliver, contact us — we will re-check the request or credit your balance.

Fair use

• No scraping, automated querying, or bulk harvesting of lookup or code data.
• No reselling of results outside your own professional services.
• We may throttle, suspend, or terminate accounts that abuse the Service.

Accuracy and availability

Vehicle data comes from third-party sources and is provided as is. We do not guarantee that a part number or key code is correct for every vehicle — verify results before ordering parts or cutting keys. The Service may be modified, interrupted, or discontinued at any time.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim arose. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, including costs of incorrectly ordered parts or miscut keys.

Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms; remaining balances on terminated fraudulent accounts may be forfeited.

Changes

We may update these terms; continued use after an update constitutes acceptance.
