EZ-Codes (“we”, “us”) provides VIN-based key part number lookups and key codes for automotive professionals. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

• Account information. When you sign in with Google we receive your name, email address, and profile picture. We also store the profile details you provide during onboarding, such as your business name and an optional phone number.
• Lookup data. The Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) you submit and the results returned, along with usage counts used to enforce daily limits.
• Payment information. Wallet top-ups and purchases are processed by Stripe. We store your balance and transaction history; we never receive or store your full card details.
• Verification materials. If you apply for key-code access, the materials you send us over WhatsApp (for example a business card, shop card, or photos of your work tools) are used to confirm you operate a locksmith or vehicle-repair business.
• Technical data. Standard server logs (IP address, browser type, timestamps) used for security and troubleshooting.

How we use information

• To provide the service: decode VINs, return part numbers, and deliver key codes.
• To manage your account, wallet balance, and daily lookup limits.
• To verify professional status before enabling key-code purchases.
• To prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized use of key-code data.
• To respond to support requests.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:

• Service providers that make the product work: Google (sign-in), Stripe (payments), vehicle-data providers that receive the VIN you submit in order to decode it, and WhatsApp/Meta when you choose to contact us there.
• Legal authorities when required by law, or to investigate misuse of key codes.

Data retention

We keep account, transaction, and lookup records while your account is active and as required for accounting and fraud-prevention purposes. Verification materials are kept only as long as needed to maintain your verified status.

Security

Data is transmitted over encrypted connections and stored with access limited to the operator of the service. Key-code purchases are restricted to verified professionals.

Your choices

• You can sign out at any time; we don’t post or send anything on your behalf.
• You can request a copy or deletion of your account data by contacting us (below). Transaction records may be retained where the law requires it.

Children

The service is intended for business use and not for anyone under 18.

We may update this policy as the service evolves; the date above reflects the latest revision. Material changes will be announced on the site.
